The 2010s have had many great rappers, but none compare to Kanye West. During this decade, we’ve gotten great albums like, “To Pimp A Butterfly”-Kendrick Lamar, “4:44”-Jay-Z, “DAYTONA”-Pusha T, each deserving the praise gotten from each release, but the best album of the decade was “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy”-Kanye West. Not, only did Kanye West have the best album of the decade, but he received a Grammy in 2010 for his album “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy”, he was nominated for a Grammy in 2013 for his album “Yeezus”, and he was nominated for a Grammy in 2016 with his album “The Life of Pablo”.
The Album “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” is considered one of the best rap albums of the 2010s if not the best, an album that is considered by some to be better than “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” is “To Pimp A Butterfly”-Kendrick Lamar. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’s first track “Dark Fantasy” is the perfect introduction into this album, this song perfectly shows the tone this album is going for, this grand rap album with extreme amounts of production and rappers and artists from other genres.
Kendrick’s Album, “To Pimp A Butterfly”, is a highly respected album due to the amount of talent that is on display in this album. This album has an extremely distinct tone compared to other albums released in 2015. “To Pimp A Butterfly” has a much more of a funk and soul inspiration than any other rap album in 2015 let alone the 2010s. This album is much more of an experience than an album that you can pick and choose to listen songs and get the best experience, unlike “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” that is an experience by itself each song can work by itself and still give the best experience possible.
